Delta Meadowvale announced today that the hotel has completed a major renovation of its 374 guestrooms. The $10 million investment includes a complete re-design of the rooms to provide spaces that are modern, adaptable and laden with technology features.
The versatile new design is aimed at today’s highly design-conscious travelers, who want to live, work and connect on their own terms. Today’s traveler wants a hotel that allows them to incorporate travel into their life as seamlessly as possible.
The new guestroom design, called ModeRoom, is inspired by the Canadian landscape, with fresh and modern colour palettes and a focus on maximizing natural light. The rooms balance functionality and adaptability – as exemplified by the new SmartDesk™, a fully-wired, multi-purpose area that provides guests with a clutter-free space, built-in power and connectivity dock, and links from your laptop and mobile devices to the flat screen high definition TV.
“The renovation is an important evolution for the hotel,” says Robert Housez, General Manager, Delta Meadowvale. “Today’s travelers expect a different experience than travelers in years past. They expect to be able to work or stay connected to friends and family no matter where they are, and our new design will better enable guests to have that seamless experience when they stay at Delta.”
The design also features subtle and thoughtful touches to help guests feel at home. From conveniently placed shelves and hooks in the entry way, to pinpoint reading lights in the headboard, to custom bathroom vanities that leave lots of space for guest belongings, to bedside plug-ins for your smartphone devices, the goal of Delta’s ModeRoom design is to give travelers a sense of comfort that is easily adapted to suit their needs. Delta’s ModeRoom also features philosophy® amenities skin care products, making the chain one of the first in the world to introduce this line into hotels, with exclusivity in Canada.
Delta Meadowvale offers the new guestrooms in two categories – Mode and ModeDeluxe. The hotel has also undertaken a $1 million renovation of its restaurant, along with a planned expansion of its meeting room space. The hotel now boasts over 42,000 square feet of meeting space.
“These renovations set us apart from other hotels in the area in terms of technology,” explains Housez. “Our guests are looking for the most up-to-date technology options, both in meetings and in guestrooms, and we know they are going to love the SmartDesk™.”
