Overlooking Victoria's majestic Inner Harbour, the Parliament Buildings are open to the public year-round. Visitors are invited to discover the architectural splendour of the Parliament Buildings and learn about British Columbia's Legislative Assembly.
The Parliament Buildings are open to the public from Monday to Friday between the hours of 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. Visitors are welcome join one of the regularly-scheduled guided tours or to explore the buildings on their own self-guided tour. During the busy summer season, the Parliament Buildings are open for tours seven days a week, including statutory holidays.
The 1416 seat Royal Theatre opened in 1913. It has seen many of this century's great performers on its stage, including Sarah Bernhardt, Carlos Montoya, Mikhail Baryshnikov, Luciano Pavarotti, National Ballet of Canada, Crosby, Stills, and Nash and Tony Bennett.The Royal retains its original Rococo/Renaissance Revival style decor. It is Vancouver Island's premiere venue for touring attractions, and home to the Victoria Symphony and Pacific Opera Victoria.
The Bay Centre is located at 1150 Douglas Street in downtown Victoria. Conveniently located at the corner of Douglas and Fort Street. The Bay Centre has 39,114.8 square metres (410,264 square feet) of retail space and is one of the largest shopping centres in the Greater Victoria Area.
