Our program touches on every aspect of the hotel business – from guest services to building practices to how we operate and maintain our properties to how we work with our suppliers and engage with our employees and local communities.

Our sustainability journey started five years ago when we launched Delta Greens™. Our goal was simple but ambitious: to be the leader in environmental sustainability within the Canadian hospitality industry.
A key priority was to change the way we operate and to adopt sustainable practices in everything we do. Working with Loop Initiatives, an independent sustainability consultant, we set 2012 and 2015 targets and developed Delta Green Watch to track our progress.
At every hotel, we established green teams to champion green initiatives and monitor their progress. All of our hotels have embraced the program and a culture of environmental responsibility has been firmly planted in everything we do.
Each hotel takes an active role in improving its local community through volunteering and fundraising efforts. Examples include tree planting, road and park clean ups, donating clothes and materials, and participating in events to raise awareness of various environmental initiatives.
All of our properties also participate in the Hotel Association of Canada’s Green Key Eco-Rating program. We are the first national hotel chain to become 100% meetings certified under the association’s Green Key Meetings program.
